Every now and again, I have the total privilege of shooting portraits.
Some of you will say...Duh, that's what you always do...?
Wrong.
I always refer to them as portraits but the original definition of a portrait is to capture the subjects personality and character. Which is what I was fortunate enough to do last week with Donato!
Once again, the standard, uninspiring British weather got the best of most of my outdoor ideas (Roll on Spring!) so we were confined to the studio.
Brief background: Donato is the founder of the popular brand, Bostin, most of you may know of him from the Bostin t-shirts. I met Donato back at the end of 2008, when I produced a variety of promotional shots for Bostin.
Donato is full of character, so capturing a "portrait" wasn't challenging, but it was a lot of fun.
We eventually got outdoors for a few photos. Everynow and again, clients do nice things - like buy me cookies or muffins - Donato went one step further and treated me to a PIEEEE... from The Pie Factory (I kid you not, www.madorourkes.com)
Thanks Donato!
